Pictures of the youth preparatory event

I wanted to let you all know that I've posted pictures of the youth preparatory meeting in 'Plan Media', which is just below the blog section of the planyouth.org website.  

I had some trouble creating comments for the pictures so I thought I'd give you some brief descriptions of the pictures right here.  What's a picture without a little context, right?  All the pictures were taken at the youth preparatory base half an hour outside of Geneva in neighbouring France. 

Pictures:

(1 of - Tracy (Lebanon) takes a cue from Babacar (Senegal) as he imitates his idol Usain Bolt.

(3 of - Renu (India) and Cara (Canada) are a perfect pair during our team introduction.  

(4 of - Cara (Canada), Miriam (Norway) and Edith (Uganda) are all smiles on the first day.

(6 of - Me (in the middle) presenting the final list of child rights concerns with the French discussion group.  For much of our meeting, we discussed how community traditions hinder a child's ability to experience his/her full rights.

(7 of - Commitee on the Rights of the Child committee member Susana Villaran.  She gave us greater insight into the three themes of the 20th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child "Dignity, Development and Dialogue."  She said that children should be able to "participate, to make change, not just be there."
