At Plan we know the power of girls. Although girls in developing countries are often the poorest of the poor, at the same time it’s proven that investing in girls is key to eliminating poverty.

Plan is helping girls fulfill their potential through programs that improve their lives and give them equal access to health care, education, protection, independence, and an opportunity to participate in society.

We’re raising awareness here in Canada about the importance of investing in girls through the Because I am a Girl initiative.

That’s what Plan does, what are you going to do?

i am currently living in canada and although we girls know that we are equally important as the boys, there are some countries out there that dont support the girls as much as we are supported out here. although i keep saying that i want to make a difference and never made that step i feel the urge to help the girls out thare.....anyone who would like to add me into your group it would be appreciated. i love writing and i am currently writing a poem called "GIRLS ARE IMPORTANT" when am finished am gonna write it up here.

Weekly Girls GROUP KDC HEALTH

Our Girls Group is a weekly group for girle Elementary age 6-11, and they come and learn about health information, cultural backgrounds, and mainly to interact with each other.

I really dont know why every one says that . Boys are good and all , but they do not over power girl we are sporty and cool too boy are just afraid that we might beat them in something and make them look bad. Because I am a girl I am strong.

Young girls will benefit from this cause in more ways than we can imagine.Most young girls in developing countries are denied the right to dream. Even when they get the chance to go to school they are usually limited in programs they can study and how far they are expected to go in their education. This campaign will benefit all girls regardless of their level of education or their social status. Because I am a girl gives the right to dream BIG! I will do all that i can to support this campaign.
