They are simple interventions – vaccinations, mosquito nets, re-hydration fluids and common medications – but without them, millions of children die each year.

Plan helps communities build clinics, train health care workers and invest in equipment and medicine so children can survive and grow up healthy and strong.

We also focus on maternal and reproductive health for girls and women to ensure mothers stay healthy too because when they do, their children are three times more likely to survive.

Knowledge is the key. Giving money and donating are key aspects in change, but knowledge allows for people to engage themselves and and want to help more, thus creating a domino affect. If we think about it, when one person is passionate about an issue they spread the word and in turn is the best way to start building a solution.

I believe that every child should get a chance to live their own lives. 33 million people have aids, 22 million of those people, are in Africa. We need to take action and start doing something about this now. They cannot do it on their own. Get involved, spread the news, fundraise. Every bit counts no matter how big or small. Help give kids a chance.
