Because I am a girl!

Because I am a girl, I am perceived as a weakling, or someone that needs to be protected. But because I am a girl, I can break that stereotype—I can do EVERYTHING a man can because I am strong. Because I am a girl, I am seen as a burden in some families; useless and unwanted. But because I am a girl, I will not be afraid to voice my opinions and fight for what I believe in. Because I am a girl, I am pressured to live up to an ideal beauty standard. But because I am a girl, I have the potential to realize my inner beauty. Because I am a girl, some people feel my only purpose in society is as a homemaker; all I am ‘good for’ is to clean, cook and take care of the kids. But because I am a girl, I make time to balance my job, my family, coach my kids’ soccer team and go out with the girls once a month. Because I am a girl, every man in the corporate world puts a glass ceiling over my head. But because I am a girl, I have the power to shatter it. Because I am a girl, I can take risks and follow my dreams. And because I am a girl, I can look good doing it! Because I am a girl, I am an INSPIRATION to all!
