We are girls and we can make a difference in the future, if we try!

Because i am a girl...I work harder than the men around me to prove to them that women are stronger and that women can do anything men can. That is possible. Because I am a girl...I've been told by many of my guy cousins that I cannot play sports. Why? They think girls only know about fashion. That is not true. We can do anything men can do..if we try and put our minds into it. I am sure many women and girls my age can do anything...but because of where they live and how they live they cannot. because I am a girl... my mother told me that I couldn't go on an Ottawa trip for 3 days. Why? This was her answer, " because you are a girl". A few years later my brother go to go on that same trip. Why? " because he was a boy. Impossible. I told my mom, girls are no different from boys. This is the message that I want to spread to all the women and girls out there. But i can understand in some cultures there are specific rules, that women cannot have the same rights as men.
