This forum is a place to talk about the issue of juvenile justice. In Haiti, Patricia experienced many things that young people should never have to face. However, Nicole, from MTV, mentions that there is still hope. What can we do here in Canada, or other parts of the world, to make sure that girls like Patricia don't ever have to face this issue? How can we support this hope?
Juvenile Justice in Haiti
I think it's important to make sure street children like Patricia can get an education. Also, if we support entreprenurial skills by helping young people set up small businesses, this can provide them with an income and will not make it necessary for them to steal or engage in other illegal behaviour simply to survive. Patricia wants to set up a stand selling cosmetics and if we provide resources for her to learn business skills, as well as give her money for the start-up costs, she will achieve her dream.
