Community Involvement Programs

I think, the best way to improve our communities would be to get our youth involved. I know that many schools, and churches and places try to involve people in community building activities, but, speaking from experience, they do not involve the youth quite as much. Things like social groups, where people can come and debate and converse about social issues would be a more effective way to both introduce the community to programs like Plan, and bind the community as a whole. Doing fun fundraisers, like car washes, fairs, and craft sales are all fun, and encourage teambuilding to both organize and conduct such activities. In my personal experience, activities that require teamwork and leadership are alway the most enjoyable. They also encourage people to be creative, and allow them to apply their talents/strengths to accomplish various things. As a whole community, everyone's efforts can make for a better and stronger community.
