The cause:

Water and Sanitation

The facts:

  • Less than 10% of people in South Sudan use latrines or toilets. Open defecation is rampant.
  • More than 10,000 people experience diarrhea caused by coming in contact with feces-contaminated food or water every year. Almost 4% of these cases are fatal.
  • Left untreated, 50% of cholera
