Bio
I am an enthusiastic youth advocate from Toronto and I have been involved in my community since I was 12 years old. I am passionate about girls issues and children's rights and have joined many youth leadership groups over the past few years. I am a member of the YWCA girl's council, Plan's Girl's Speaker's Bureau and the UofT Scarborough Youth Cabinet. I have facilitated many workshops and given several presentations on healthy living, gender stereotypes, youth leadership, importance of community involvement and self esteem. I am the vice president of my school's Equity Council and we run many school wide events on anti-racism, anti-sexism, anti-homophobia and disabilities. I believes that any one can initiate social change in their community regardless of their age or experience as long as they are passionate about what they believe in.
