[video] From the 'Children Have Something To Say' series of 40 short films made entirely by children aged from 12 to 18 years from India with the support of Plan Netherlands. Reporter Neelamma investigates the cultural practice of a dowry payment by the bride's family to the groom's family. Despite being prohibited by law in 1961 it is still very common in arranged marriages and in rural areas. Neelamma discovers what kind of groom her father would be able to purchase for her in Andhara Pradesh.
