Southern Sudan students' high school dreams

The referendum in Southern Sudan is part of a peace deal that ended a 22-year civil war between the north and the south, a conflict in which at least 20,000 children fought. At Juba Technical high school, Plan International is retraining former child soldiers and other young people in skills such as building, mechanics and carpentry so they can build new lives.
