Childhood Education

Childhood Education
Mali is a country of about 13.1 million people, with a literacy rate of 19 percent. Childhood education is imperative for the development of our nation. Plan works with us to improve pre-school, primary school and informal education to allow children to learn in a variety of situations. We also strive to help our adults by encouraging literacy training programs. This is especially critical for women, who often have been restricted from attending school due to their traditional household roles.
